Based on your reviews and feedback, studio.HD v1.3 includes a new way to manage your recordings. It is ultimately easier to record, manage, and share loops between projects. At the same time, the new approach is significantly different than previous versions:

We recommend that you make a copy of all of the .aif files in the studio.HD documents directory before you upgrade.

Recordings you make with the app are now only available in the active project, by default. If you want to share a recording between projects, click on the loop in the browser, and then press the + button in the lower right. When asked, choose “Add to My Loops.” This will make the loop available to other projects as well.

Recordings that you remove from the timeline will be deleted once you close your project and return to the main screen. If you make a mistake, hit Undo and the recording will return. There are 10 levels of Undo. Recordings you add to the My Loops collection are not subject to automatic deletion.

Files that you add via Audio Paste behave the same way as Recordings.

When you first open version 1.3, the app will archive all the extra recordings in a folder named “UnusedRecordings.” You can see this folder from iTunes using the document sharing feature. This will only happen once, the first time you run 1.3 after upgrading from a previous version.
