Hello.

I am synchronizing a hardware sequencer (Urzwerg) as slave, via MIDI cable, with Looptastic HD as master on an iPad 2, and works well.

I am also sampling loops with a Peavey AmpKit LiNK and also works well.

The problem is that, when MIDI sync is active, if I try to sample at the same time, I get only a noise like an old modem, which seems to be the MIDI streaming.

UPDATE:
The sound (not exactly modem like noise, but clearly the MIDI streaming) occurs whenever you have plugged the cable to the MIDI OUT of the sequencer.

Hi,

While I have not tried your exact situation, I have noticed a horrible “old modem” sound whenever I have my iPad docked to the Mac via the USB docking cable. It might be the USB connection on the device or something.

Have you tried using another app in USB/HW sync mode to see if the noise is there?

Thanks,

It may be the same situation.

UPDATE:
The sound (not exactly modem like noise, but clearly the MIDI streaming) occurs whenever you have plugged the cable to the MIDI OUT of the sequencer.

I tried the MIDI with sync FunkBox, which works perfectly, but I have not tested yet with other sampling apps.
